I installed my HID's today but have a serious issue trying to get the fog bulb in. I have an 08 H3 that has a 9140 bulb. The company sent a 9006 bulb. The tabs for locking the bulb in needed a little filing down but even so the bulb will NOT fit in the housing. I put a micrometer on the bulb(where the O-ring is) and the 9006 is 1/8" larger then the 9140. What bulb are others using for the fogs that don't required MAJOR alteration???

 

They were suppose to give you h10 bulbs, that is what I have in my fog lights. I have a 2009 h3 they should be the same bulb sizes.

On my 2010 H3 when I swapped to HID I couldn't find H10 bulbs. The guy at the shop tried a 9005 and it fits perfectly.

 

Thanks bro--I have insisted this company send me the correct bulb despite them wanting me to alter the fog light housing to make the 9140 fit
