Help!!! What's the h2 max tire size
 

I have a 2006 Hummer H2 SUT with the factory chrome rims which I believe are 17x8.5 and I want to get the biggest tire on it witout using a lift kit or modifying anythiny on the truck. I wanted to put 40x12.5x17 because onlinetires.com has goodyear wrangler mt/r for $199 each plus a $100 mail in rebate. IF they won't fit will 37X12.5x17 fit?

I ran 37x12.50x18s on 18 x 9 wheels and they fit but did rub alittle even on road driving. I tried the onlinetires website for those 40s but couldnt get in @ www.onlinetires.com can you help I need a set of those for my SUT.
