HELP!! Rim offset question. Quick!!

I ordered a set of Fuel Revolvers 17x9. I went with an -12mm offset. Should I have gone with a +1mm offset instead? The salesmen said it would look stock with the -12mm, but what will the +1mm do? I'm putting 37x12.5xR17's on them. I can change them before they leave :D
