Looking for some help. I hit a tree limb and smashed my passenger side chrome mirror cover. Where do I get a new one? Every parts place I have looked at on the web only has the whole assembly. 400 bucks! I can't believe that part is not separate. Any help would be great. If anyone has replaced their mirrors and has the old cover let me know how much you want for it. It is a 2003 and the covers are chrome. I will take a black one if you have it.

I know they sell chrome covers on ebay and other sites for a decent price but I'm fairly certain that piece is not available alone unless you buy the aftermarket covers.

 

I would think there would be lots of used mirrors for sale that have broken internals.
I sold my 03 mirrors on ebay a few years ago and I think I only got $50 for the pair. Since you only need the housing a defective mirror should work for you.
