Giving my older 2005 H2 to my Mom and was wondering if anyone has fi'g out a clean way to add lights to the running board/side steps. Thought it would be a good idea to have them trigger to come on with systems lock and unlock remote command...

There is not kit that I know of do do this. However doing this mod should not be that hard. Just run a relay off of one of your Daytime running lights to power lights for your running boards. That way when you unlock the doors the running board lights come on.

 

That's also what I would suggest. You can even get small LEDs and put them under the body next to the frame so they won't get damaged. And places like pepboys and others sell aftermarket light kits. They usually have colored lights but they might also have clear white lights as well. Good luck.
