Mine is a 2006 / it had 71, 000 when I bought it. I had driven less than 75 miles when the dreaded fuel cap warning light came on / dealer would not cover but did work with me on the labor and parts / leak test / fuel solenoid. I then made it a week before the chrome fuel door broke and would not stay closed / ordered this online and replaced myself. I drove it for a couple months before my current problem which is the blower not working for the heater. I followed many suggestions from this forum and could not track down the problem. Dealer diagnosed and says I now need a whole new power distribution box (fuse block) and of wouldnt you know so far my 3, 000 dollar super duper warrenty I bought has covered nothing. UGH!

I have owned 3 H3s and a H3T. Still have 2 H3s and the T and have not had any problems with any of them. I have pretty low miles on mine. My sister has an Alpha H3 with 40k and she has had no problems with hers. My cousin has an early 06 and he had to have his head replaced at 25k and his BCM went bad.

This is a HUMMER forum. Automotive Forums are where people go when they have an issue with whatever they drive or just to hang out with others who own the same make or model of vehicle.

With that being said, you will find an over abundance of people who have had one issue or another with their HUMMERs here on HUMMER Forums. I'm pretty darn sure there are a ton of HUMMER owners who haven't had an issue since day 1 of their HUMMER delivery.

Hence the question asking Hummer owners of any issues they may have had. Wouldnt do me much good to ask someone who drives a Volkswagen.

I get the fact that you are angry and want to vent about feeling like you have been taken advantage of not only in your purchase but the warranty you also bought.

You may have wanted to do this kind of research on the specific issues that others with the same model and year have had before your purchase. The educated consumer is the one who knows when to just walk away from a sale.

But, the fact is you bought a USED vehicle from what sounds like not a very reputable or responsible dealer. Did you have a GM dealer run the VIN and tell you the service and warranty history? Did you take the vehicle to an independent mechanic to look it over before purchase? Did you take the time to read exactly if the "super duper" warranty covered the known issues for that particular vehicle before purchasing it? Buyers remorse is a tough nut to swallow.

That is a great point Tainter, and one that is likely overlooked on most any enthusiast forum.

I'd guess that half the folks find these forums to find out more about modding and sharing info on the vehicle they just bought, and the other half find them looking for answers to a particular problem they are having as a last resort before paying a shop.

It appears as though the H3 has lots of problems, but it is a skewed aggregate of owners here.

My factory nav screen went blank on my 07 adventure
It was frustrating, expensive and now fixed.
Nothing really mechanical to be too concerned about . . .

I hear you guys; I really do. I love the fact that you guys love the Hummer so much that you are getting defensive.

Let me reiterate that I love my H3; it is unlike any vehicle that I have ever owned. I hope to get this one paid for and to then buy another; perhaps a 2010 Alpha version would be a great addition to the fleet.

When in the military I had the chance to drive the H1; it to is an awesome vehicle.

Sorry; did not mean to bring everyone down. We all know the H3 is a great vehicle just has a few quirks.
