Can someone please post pictures of a H3x, or a H3 on 18 inch rims with tires that are LARGER than the factory 32s? ( larger than 265/65-18 )

Looks awesome! buying new tires for my H3X next week, thought about a lot bigger tire. Which motor? 3.7 or 5.3? my X has the 3.7 so wasn't sure how it would kill my power..

Ive had 35" tires with both engines (3.7l '07 H3 lux and now a '08 5.3l H3x Alpha) and the 3.7 was the biggest reason i sold my '07. With 35s it cant maintain speed on the highway and will constantly kick down to 3rd gear to maintain 75mph. The 5.3 is 100x better. I can tell that the 295s added a little resistance to the engine compared to the stock tires, but thats just a gearing issue.
Another benefit of the 5.3 is that they all came with 4.10 diff gears instead of the 4.56's in the 3.7; so when you go to 35 inch tires on an alpha, you can easily swap the diff gears to 4.56's to correct the gearing changes caused by the larger tires and it will drive like oem. With the 3.7, 4.56 is as big as you can go in the front diff so youre stuck feeling like youre always pulling a trailer and your speedo will always be off 9.3%. |

Are those the factory option (non-h3x) 18" wheels painted black?? Theyre pretty rare. Look good!
