H3T Rolling Backwards in Park
 

Anyone experience anything like this? Just bought this 2009, H3T Alpha with the Offroad Package. Has a little north of 60K miles. Had a leveling kit put on it. Had a stereo added. Dealer that I bought it from had it serviced after he picked it up as a trade in from original owner. But now I had it roll back, while it was parked in my garage - two different times - each time it rolls back a foot or two and then it seems to be locked down - meaning I try to push it back into the original position and it won't move - like it was suppose to not move originally. Gear is in Park each time. I'm not there when it happens - I just tried to open the garage door - and the H3T had rolled back into it - about a foot in distance. Second time the garage was open - and I noticed it was sticking out when I drove up. It's only done it twice - but would hate for it to happen if I parked it in town.


Any thoughts?

Park pawl gear is missing a couple teeth..... That is why it does not always happen. Happened on one of my inlaws cars a few years back. No idea if its a DIY fix. Probably need to take it to a transmission shop.

sounds like an expensive fix. id just use the park brake
