Was the h3 a unique platform?
Canyon/Colorado vs H3 Frame:
1. Bumpers are mounted directly to the frame rails
2. Additional crossmembers for increased lateral structure
3. Body mounts relocated for increased rigidity
4. Heavy duty jounce bumpers
5. Moved spring hangers for increased ground clearance in off-roading

GM has gotten a lot of life out of the 4L60E/4L65E transmission, nothing changed there. The I5 is mostly the same; intake/exhaust, cams might be different among the pther models. The axles are standard GM. I think only 15% of the parts are the same with the Canyon.
