H3 underhood lighting
 

This may have already been covered by someone but the H3 does not have any under hood lighting to illuminate the engine bay at night.

It never ceases to amaze me as to why the GM engineers do things like this. It would not cost very much to add some lighting in this area.

Has anyone come up with a way to get some lighting in the engine bay area.

My 96 Chevy 3/4T has a light mounted on the firewall that has a 10' cord attached so you can use the light to check other areas of the truck and when you are done the cord winds up inside so everything is clean and tidy.
I don't know what GM would charge for a new one but there should be some at the wrecking yard, hope this helps.

I modified my H3 by placing a4 D cell mag light in the back storage compartment. :D Can use it for thumping tires, or whatever else needs a thump at the time. ;)
