H3 Stock Radio Question

Hey everyone. I have a 2010 H3 w/the stock radio w/XM radio and a single disk CD player. It has no navigation, and isn't a Monsoon system. I want to add a aux input to hook up my MP3 player to the system. I found this:

http://pac-audio.com/productDetails....&CategoryID=24

and it will fit my needs perfect. My question to all the experts is is there a difference between a 2009 H3 radio and a 2010? Or how about 2008 and 2010? The faces look identical but that doesn't tell me much.

Also, if anyone has done this before w/a setup like mine and has advice on a better product please let me know. I would get a PAL from GMC but that limits me to an iPOD so I don't want that.

Thanks in advance,

- Jason

This is the one I have. When I ordered it I was told by replacement radios that this will work on H3's from 2006-10, as long as they didn't have Monsoon. You can contact them and double check. It works great and was super easy to install.

And I thought my Monsoon with navigation was a good thing when I bought the truck. Now I can't do the good upgrades. That's why I have that Bluetooth thing hanging on my visor that I hate.

I also have the Monsoon and found one that will work (or so the techs there tell me). It's a USA SPEC model PA15-GM. www.usaspec.net

They have just recently released a new unit (shown on their website, I believe it's model PA-50) that has a Blue Tooth option available

Airborne,

Thanks for the info. This looks like a great product. A few more questions.

1. Does it come w/installation instructions?
2. Is there any wire splicing needed?
3. If there is wire splicing needed is it pretty simple?

Thanks again,

- Jason

Yes it came with directions, but I doubt you'll need them. There are no wires to splice. You just plug-in the supplied harness. If you do need help, just send me a PM

Thanks Broken Halo. I'll check it out.

If your not using the XM, another forum has a post to add AUX input using XM channel 1. Its a quick mod and costs about $3.00.
