H3 locked front diff.
The transfercase in the h3 is either open or locked. No limited slip feeling or action at all. Also there is no viscous coupling.... this isnt an Audi. Please click the link and read up on the transfercase internals.

I see the schematic shows 2 forks. Is it the
1. High/Low Range Shift Fork Assembly or
2. Lockup Mode Shift Fork
I just had the problem of 4 wheel staying locked in on my 2006 H3 Hummer.... I took my Hummer to (Cadillac of Knoxville, Tennessee)(formerly Hummer of Knoxville) one of the few places that still have experienced Hummer certified tech and also services a large number of Hummer in east Tennessee and western North Caroline...The teck said my problem was a common one with the 06 and 07 H3 Hummers..It is the plastic shifting fork that GM used in the transfer case these two years....They replaced my shifting fork with a all aluminum one with the cost of repairs 650 dollars...
Hope this helps : otto
