H3 HVAC issues
 

Hey everyone, my resistor pack recently went south on my 06 H3 and my connector melted to ****, I bought a new resistor pack and still reused the old connector harness. When I unhooked the pack to buy another one and started the car the H VAC knobs were blinking. Then when I put the new one in and started the car same thing happened they started blinking and then the blower motor was working again. Now its stopped working again, I'm going to recheck the connection but I guess my main question is what does the blinking lights mean? thanks!

ok update, I realized the HVAC knobs flash when you unplug the battery and plug it back in to start the car.

Second, I found out why my resistor pack stopped working, the thermal cutout on top is has no connection its an open circuit. So I am hoping that maybe it was a bad resistor pack because if not than there must be a short somewhere. anyone know where I might look for a short the only wire that burnt up was the 1st orange wire on the red connector.
