H3 front noises!

Hello Hummer community, 2006 Adv H3 114k mi

I need some help to find out what's causing a clacking noise whenever I cross uneven roads. It sounds as if something is loose, but it sounds a lot!

I have inspected the following:

- Hubs
- Shocks
- Suspension arms
- Fenders
- Body mounts seem tight
- The steering rack does have some play (There's the recall, right? still does not sound as if it is the problem)
- Bumper and Grille
- Radiator
- Skids

Any ideas or similar experiences? it really is annoying

I have a very annoying noise coming from the rear. Sounds like the spare tire is loose or something. I've tightened everything, inspected everything..still can't find the problem.

I don't have a clunking but had a nasty creaking sound in the front end that I think I finally fixed!!!

I will certainly do that after I drive around a little. I dont want to get too lippy and find that my "fix" turnes out to be nothing. The noise is/was pissing me off though I will say that.

I will make my own thread about what I found, I don't want to invade Mkawas's thread. They probably are not the same issues.

Nope! it seems my noise is coming from the main driveshaft... It has some play and whenever the truck shakes a bit it hits the walls.

Apparently is a very common thing on GMT pickup/SUV platforms even at low mileages
