I have just replaced my complete system with a degraaf system (all 3 boxes) sounds great but has bad drone in cab must now try and figure out how to get rid of the noise

I appreciated the H3 flowmaster videos and sound....however...I just installed the 80 series and it sounds great at idle

...but I dont like the sound between 30-50 miles an hour...sound to much "drone" ...air flow does not appear to feel smooth/combined with the poor sound...

...thinking what to do next???...I heard 50 series was the best...but I listened to the tech...thinking he understood the engineering better /etc...what to do...lol

That's the resonator you are talking about? Any difference in sound? Do you suggest to take it off anyway?

Thanks

Flowmaster, for many years had bad drone associated with their mufflers. They patented their unique muscle car sound, but drone was an unfortunate negative that came with that Flowmaster sound. I had a Flowmaster muffler on my 2001 camaro SS and it droned really bad. And drone, over a long period time can do serious damage to your hearing. I love Flowmaster and theur unique sound bu the drone is horrible. From what I understand Magnaflow offers the sound and very minimal drone. I'm on the fence about what to do, but I'm leaning towards resonator delete and magnaflow or have a highly skilled Muffler shop fabricate a new system.

Question: If you cut off the resonator and add straight pipe, do you have that bad spoiled gas odor?

* Drone * is a really bad thing. It's very bad for your hearing. Hearing Doctors all the time advise stay away from drone omitted vehicles.

My h3x had Magnaflow on it when I bought it. It is totally obnoxious inside the vehicle.

I've put up with it for over 3 yrs now, but it's about to GO. My kids were home over the holidays, and we ran around for 4 days in the Hummer. I was sick of everyone asking each other to repeat themselves because you cannot hear over the resonance!!!

I'd love just the regular system back on it. Anyone near me and want to trade? (Since I just praised it so highly. hahaha)

I have no clue what system exactly is on it, but I could get a muffler shop to check if anyone wants this type sound. Just not my thing!

ps Thought the exhaust was Flowmaster. It's Magnaflow. Regardless, I hope I have something quieter on it by the end of the week!

I do not think so (part 1 see pic). Its not the catalytic converter. Anyone cutted off the
resonator?

BTW I use a Billy Boat exhaust system and the quality is very good.
