H3 Door hinge design

I've noticed the door hinge assemblies look to be pretty beefy and they sure look like they were at one point designed to be used in a removable door concept.
They are a Jeep-like, upright 2 pin per door design with a nifty locking top sleeve.
Seems like the only thing keeping the H3 from having easily removable doors is that the wiring looms for the controls don't have a quick disconnect, (but that could be added ;)).

Removable doors would have been a nice feature.

There are a couple guys on other forums that routinely run without their doors. Personally, I think it looks like a truck missing its doors, not quite as natural looking as a Jeep.

Agree. But the 4 door Jeeps without their doors don't look very "Jeep" like either.

In any case, the hinges were definately designed with an easily removable door in mind. But come to think of it, it could have been designed as such for removal and re-attachement during the build process while on the assembly line in Shreveport. At one point during the build process the doors got taken off, separated from the vehicle, and then re-attached after the interior installation was complete.

Why would youwant to take the doors off?? That is one of the reasons I don't have a jeep that has a removeable top and doors. They tend to get muddy inside

Why?? Trail riding a vehicle with the doors off changes the experience completely.
