Default H3 ALPHA - frontend leveled

The installation ofthe READYLIFT Leveling Kit (66-3070 Hummer H3 06-07 Colorado/Canyon 05-07) on my H3 ALPHA was unsuccessful. The issue appears to be the additional "indexing" designed into the READYLIFT keys. After numerous failed attempts to install theREADYLIFT keys, I simply reinstalled the factory keys and adjusted the height to my preference.
After driving on it for 3 days and approximately 180 miles, to give the frontend/suspension time to settle, I hadthe frontend alignment done. Which made a noticable difference indriving (apparently the front suspension was really "whacked" out of alignment by raising the frontend). I did endup using the supplied 1/2" spacers from the READYLIFT Kit, for the factory front shocks. It drives very similar to stock, do not notice any frontend diving while applying brakes. Overall, VERY satisfied with this MOD.

Have been in contact with READYLIFT and they are reviewing the differences between the keys. Hopefully they will have a revised kit available for the ALPHA shortly. Stay tuned. Also, I was very impressed with "Bill" at Fat Bob's Garage. Very easy to deal with. Will definitely do business with again.

Hope this information is helpful.

Kent,
How many turns did you do on each side to level?

Josh (?),

I did not keep track of the number of turns. Since I completely removed the factory keys and then reinstalled them, I never worried about "how many turns" for each side. I simply turned the bolts on each side (going back and forth between drivers side and passenger side - many times) until I obtained the look that I was after. Get the approximate height that you like, and then take it for a drive. You may need to make some fine tuning after you put some miles on it. But, you should schedule a front end alignment when your satisfied with the look. Also, you may notice as I have, that the measurements from side to side and front to back seem to change or adjust slightly, for no apparent reason. Maybe the temperature outside versus the temperature in the garage, but the measurements do change "slightly" - in the neighborhood of 1/4" or less. Obviously, there is a difference between a full tank, and an empty tank of gas as well.

If you are planning on "leveling" the frontend, take a look at about 3/4" to 1/2"down in the front from level...looks very good on mine.[sm=shades.gif] Your results may vary.
