if you have extended as Bob says, they should cover them for you and give you the new ones as the old ones have known issues.

I like the look of the newer model mirros as well I think the glass is a bit bigger, maybe not, could just be the design. Anyways the mirror is a horror story that I just lived and my rig is a 05. Carefule on FleaBay, I got screwed but ended up making the best of it, I think you should press the dealer, if you have a good relationship with them, they should hook you up with a new set.
