H2 Door panel clips available
I don't usually plug products but a vendor on ebay is selling the 2 piece H2 door panel retainers. These are nearly impossible to get from GM and the so called 1 piece replacement some are selling just dont work or hold correctly.
If you own an H2 is only a mater of time before you will need to pull a panel for a bad window regulator, door lock or even a glass replacement. Using the right retainer makes the difference when re-installing the panel and making sure it holds securely in place. Last month I pull all 4 of my panels and these work perfectly. See the link below. I would not wait long and will probably be gone in a few days. https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-HUMMER-...t/113400848527 Good luck! |
How many clips are needed per door ?
|
If I remember correctly 11 are required for the front doors, 9 for the rears

One other thing I wanted to mention, Jeep Liberty door clips are very similar, 2 piece and fit in a H2 door but won't hold quite as well. I was going to use these instead until I came across the real deal. This is worth mentioning because there will come a time where the correct ones will probably no longer be available because of the limited numbers of H2. There are tons of Liberties and I am sure the door clips for them will be available for a long time to come. |
that's the truth. supplies on anything that has to do with the truck body are getting harder to find new. the sad part is insurance agency's will just total your truck out because new parts are not available. so they total the trucks for the simplest of reasons now.

Thanks, I bought some.

Curiosity got the best of me. The H3 ones have a different part number 11562043 but according to a couple of sites, the specs are identical as far as their dimensions go. The "thickness" part does look to be thinner on the H3 all white ones but its a different style image so hard to tell for certain.
Links below are not suggestions for buying them.... just for comparing the specs. H2 ones - 11562288 https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Hu...s-p/a20997.htm H3 ones - 11562043 https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/GM...s-p/a20995.htm I tried playing with that end number just changing it and tried in the middle a20996 and got these - also with the same dimensions. https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/GM...s-p/a20996.htm 20994 was a totally different type. 20998 nets a 4th.... black and white ones. https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/GM...s-p/a20998.htm 20999 - green and yellow... https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/GM...s-p/a20999.htm I have no idea if there is really any difference other than the colors. The specs listed all show them being identical. To me they all appear to be the same just different colors. lol |
