Default H2 died ???

hello , im new to the forum and new to the hummers . my wife and i just bought a high mile, 2003 H2 a few days ago
. love it. it appears to have been well taken care of and is very clean .
I was driving home tonight and it lost power , I pulled over and it died . Tried to restart it. Turns over fine , everything comes on but the engine acts like its out of fuel .
I let it set for a few minutes and tried again , it dries to start but dies .
I been reading about the issues with the anti theft thing , but im wondering if that would be an issue since I was actually driving it for some 30 minutes when it happened .
Im thinking fuel pump but im just not very knowledgeable about these yet .
Any help would be appreciated

Sounds like a fuel pump to me. Make sure to buy a quality pump (Delphi) There are a lot of cheap fuel pumps on the market.

X3 on the fuel pump I haven't tried it on my hummer but if you have two people, one by the key and one at the gas door..... You take the cap off and listen for a whine when the key is turned to run. Not start, just run. Electric fuel pumps pressurize the system before starting

Well I ran some electrical tests just to make sure . I was indeed getting power to the pump but nothing from it. Yep it had seen its last days . So I replaced it . My H2 started right up

get a tube of clear silicone, use it around the lights front rear and check for the rubber gromit on drivers side lamp with phillips screw holding the lens, check to see if there any holes open to the liner of the truck and seal them...with the clear,silcone..........Good luck, done mine already......was leaking water thru the on-star speaker in liner......all dry now )
