H2 backdoor hatch won't open
Bad actuator. You need to climb in the back and pull the hatch trim away from the window. Try and reach down in there to pull the cables which will release the latches. After that the hatch will open and you can remove the full trim to get to the actuator for replacement.
Before you pull the back hatch panel off check the fuse/relay panel on the drivers side and make sure that the relay/fuse is not bad or missing. I bought a actuator after reading a few treads on here but it ended up being that my relay was missing...
Agree with all the above. I just had this problem. Use your remote door opener and listen to the back hatch. Or have someone activate the door lock. Beyond the fuse, you will know if you are getting power.
There is a removal process for the H2 on you tube. A couple of screws you must take out but it is easy if I did it.
The actuator is not always the problem. I got Lucky and it was just the mechanism. There is another you tune video on how to reach in there and open the hatch.

Mine just failed closed on vacation with the back loaded to the roof. Unable to find any vids on youtube about it. Got a Yeti full of food back there. Always something.
Follow-up: found an old pic posted by LoJac and was able to reach in and pull the unlock cable and get the hatc open. Next to buy a new lock, already replaced all the door locks.
