H1 Wagon or Truck?
I had originally purchased a wagon (or at least I thought I did) but the seller disappeared on me and I became uncomfortable with the deal.
I am now looking at a 2000 truck version out of Atlanta. The nice thing about this one is it has the CTIS with original rims. The aftermarket looked nice but I would prefer to have the original CTIS system.
I always buy with re-sell in mind. What is more desirable - the wagon or the hard top truck? I know this is a lot of opinion but interested in your thoughts. I definitely do not want to go with soft top due to it being outside most of the time down in FL - would prefer hard top.
So your thoughts - of the two (Wagon or Hard Top 4 door truck) which is more desirable? Also, the truck is same year (2000) with lower miles (79,000 vs 112,000).

I'm in the Florida panhandle and have been looking at H1 soft tops because I like the idea of being able to put a roll bar and spare tire in back to give it a pre-run look.
You don't have a lot of options to personalize a wagon other than a roof rack.
Of course, if I were to get a 1, you can guaran-dam-tee it would live in the garage as I don't plan on having much of a roof or doors on it often; sounds like you really need a wagon if it can't live inside. I've heard 1's are prone to leaking.
I did test drive a 2000 H1 two weeks ago in Fort Walton Beach, black wagon, and it was in outstanding condition. He's asking between $45-$50K on it, and it's worth it. Brand new engine & turbo, with the tranny, trans case, gears, all mechancials gone thru and solid. The wagon itself is extremely nice and he has it well detailed and super clean. I couldn't find any flaws that he hadn't already addressed.

I spoke to him - sounds like a great truck. I need to stay under $40K though. Having an inspection done on one in Atlanta tomorrow. Hopefully that one pans out - I like the idea of a truck back but heard it really does not provide that much space back there for anything.
