Default H1 Mechanic in Phoenix

New to the forum...

Recently relocated to Phoenix (Chandler). This is my second H1, a 1999 Wagon. I used to go to Cerritos and then Tustin when I lived in CA to have my 2004 H1 serviced. This 1999 is a little pesky and has broken down 4 times on me. I'm going to a general diesel mechanic and running up quite a tab as they fix one thing to have something else break.

Any suggestions in Phoenix?

Thanks.

There isn't anyone in Phoenix who specializes in this vehicle. You're about half way between Big Dog Offroad in Denver and Tustin in CA. Shipping them is super easy, we do that all the time.

Lund and Kachina used to be Hummer dealers in the Phoenix area. They might still have H1 mechanics on payroll or know where they went.

Thanks.. It is running fine now (knock on wood) but I should probably just bite the bullet and schedule some time to get it to Tustin for a preventative checkup...go back and get it a week later.

Scott: You mentioned you had issues with it breaking down and now needs some "preventative maintenance"? What kinds of issues do you seem to be happening? The last few times it's broken down what ended up being the issues? I'm happy to help because it could be something simple you could do there rather than having to send it 400 miles away. Feel free to call us anytime also as we're not always on the forums.

Hi, just joined the forum as I'm pondering purchase of an H1 Alpha. I live in Scottsdale.

There is a Hummer service technician at Earnhardt Cadillac. A very close friend of mine just bought a 1995 H1, and he is doing some work on it now. I think he was referred through Hubbard Auto Center. I am going to try and visit Hubbard tomorrow, they have a wagon that looks amazing and am excited to check it out.
