H1 hummer, New member
Im a new member interested in buying an H1 and would like some advice.
After consulting with private sellers and dealerships, some advice was given. 1) do not buy this model of trucks if its years are 2000 or earlier. Since they career problems in the engine block. 2) In the east cost due to the snowing season the salt used on the road creates corrosion to the side panels of the trucks. 3) There is no possible way to certify or perform any compression tests in the states. I would appreciate any input on what I have been told or simply any knew advice. Since I live in Puerto Rico, plan on traveling to the main land and would like some background and what to look for while I am there. In order to purchase a great vehicle Regards, Jose Palou |
The 96-00 models had a #8 cylinder issue but many have had replacement engines installed. Rust can be an issue for coastal or northern trucks.
