I have a 2001 H 1 that stalls out while riding on the road. The battery light and oil light come on and it stalls. I was told it may be the timing on the glow plug. Does the glow plug need replacing or can the timing be reset. Why would the timing be off? This happened one other time 1 yr ago!

 

I have same problem, It stalls while driving and kind of sputters sometimes I was thinking it could be the fuel filter or pump but never got the $$$ rounded up to check it out yet... if you find out what is wrong please let me know it would be of great help!

 

I doubt it would be the glow plugs, or anything to do with them. They only come on to start the vehicle, then go out once the vehicle is running. If they were to stay on, all it would do is burn them out and make it hard to start. It is more than likely a fuel issue, or a sensor issue. My money would be resting on a sensor issue though. The dealer should be able to hook it up to a diagnostic machine to tell you what it is.
