I have a 2008 H3 Graphite Metallic and am looking for a factory painted grille. I've been told they are not available as yet from GM but I know they have been installed on factory ordered cars. In a wild, desperate attempt to find one, maybe one that was removed by a dealer and replaced with chrome, does anyone have a line on one? I would prefer a factory painted one over spraying the chrome...more durable, IMHO.

 

I will check with my dealer for you tomorrow. They told me that they have been striping alot of them lately, like the Tacticals, they have been replacing with chrome. Don't know about a Graphit Metallic but will check and let you know.

 

As alway try ebay and your local dealers.

 

I have the same color and my parts guy said he can order it but it's like $300. So as soon as I have the cash I will place the order. You might want to try another dealer, my guess is that maybe that grille in that specific color is just on back order.

 

I called my dealer, the parts guy says that they are not available in the color. I don't how true that is, just what I was told. He said that you could always get a primered one and then paint it but they cost they same as a painted one.

I would probably just paint the one that you have. Shouldn't be too hard.

Call the dealer back and tell him you need a Grille for an H3X in Graphite Metallic. They CAN get it.

 

I respectfully disagree. The stock one for painted grilles says "paint to match" in the catalog. The already painted accessory grilles are not made in this color.

 

That's what I have heard with all my research, not yet avail...perhaps in a few months but it looks like I might be headed for the body shop...thanks everyone!
