GPS Software for Mac/Apple powerbook laptop.
Portable GPS are so cheap now I wouldn't bother with a laptop based GPS... I saw Radio Shack has portable GPS with all lower 48 states on it for $149.00 That's a 3" color touch LCD, I have a little Mio that I got at Fry's back in the spring of 07 for $199 and it's a great little unit, now it's $150 too!
There is a GPS map software for the mac OS-X, I forget the name but my buddy up in Seattle had it on his laptop when we were working together last summer.

I'm a mac user from all the way back to 1986, I work with both but I prefer my macs anyday over EX PEE or Vista.
I'm running leopard now on my laptop and workstation, other than having to re-add my printers (10.5 has the drivers you just have to add the printers back in the list). Pretty sweet package!
