My mechanic recommended me to use NOT an air filter that uses oil for increasing the capacity to retain impurities. This is because in the long run, a small amount of oil could be sucked into the engine. If you want then change the original air filter with a better performance, which filter can improve the original but without the oil?

It's not oil being sucked into the motor thats a problem; its the fact that the oil can dirty up your maf (not a huge deal; just clean it..) but also when you offroad, every particle of dust is gonna get sucked to that filter all day long.

Go with a spectre or k&n oil-free filter. They are both good.

K & N filters are without oil...? I knew otherwise. For example, the model 63-3037 or 77-3037KP really are oil free?
And what would these filters "Spectre"?

I think the stock air filter can flow more than enough air. It's most likely the plastic plumbing between the filter and the throttle body that is the airflow bottleneck.

 

I'm not sure that you get spectre filters in Italy? Do you guys have an Advanced or Autozone? Lol. If not, go online and search for spectre filters, like so:

yes there are some oil-free k&n's you can buy tho.

I know that dr tom got like a 2mpg increase by JUST switching the filter out to a good one, on his stock airbox. Adding an airdoc into the equation, which would eliminate the resonator you speak of, would yield even more mileage.
