Is it a good deal?
Hey all,
I'm new here as I don't actually own a Hummer yet, but I'm close... I want to know your opinion.
My real good friend of 15 years is looking to sell his 2009 H3T Alpha 180,000OKM (Roughly 111, 847 Miles) for $25,000 CAD. Might get him down to 22,500, but I don't want to undercut too much since he needs the cash. It's cloth with sunroof.
I know the truck has been meticulously well maintained with fully Synthetic Oil, Premium gas and under sprayed every winter. It's in fantastic shape aesthetically. Do you think it's worth it? My concern is the milage... what is the LH8 usually good for? Is this high? He has done very little LIGHT offloading and a bit of towing.
Thanks for any help!

Does the H3T have the OffRoad package (front & rear locker buttons on the 4x4 control center in the right)? Any other options like NAV or backup camera?
With over 110,000 miles I think that price is a bit high (25,000 Canadian). Closer to 23,000 C$ would be pretty good with the description you posted. Got any pix?
The LH8 is a small block Chevy motor. It's just all aluminum to save weight. Reliability is the same as any other SB Chevy. 250,000 mile motors if regular maintenance is performed from the get-go.
Mileage will very depending on the driver and tire size. Expect 12-17mpg. When my wife drives she gets 16. When I drive it gets 13. Tonneau cover made a 2 Mpg difference on the highway. 17mpg with the tonneau!
By the way premium fuel (higher octane) is a waste of $. Save the cash and run top tier fuels instead.
Hope this helps with your decision.

I appreciate the reply!
Yes it has the off road package and an awesome diamond-back tunneau cover. No navigation or backup camera.

The fuel does scare me... my car is currently rated at 29MPG so this is a bit of an increase in fuel!
