Going to change my brake pads tomorrow, need advice!!

Hi Hummer friends I am going to change my brake pads tomorrow, need advice!! Should I go to the dealer and purchase stock pads or can I buy them somewhere cheaper for pads just as good? I put 22's on my Hummer with 325/50r22 on my ride don't know if that matters in selecting pads

I am in Ca, so incase anyone can refer me to places out here

THANKS!!!!

I would recommend getting a can of Permatex brake pad spray....you spray this on the back of the brake pads (the side that goes against the caliper)....keeps them from squealing!

Hmm,
I'm not sure about CA, but you want a parts store that carries different items....not like VIP. The place that carries it here is B&L Auto Parts. You might not find that exact brand, but just ask for the spray, that is like rubber that goes on the back of the pads to keep them from squealing. Spray them in a well ventilated area.....it smells bad! Let them sit for at least an hour to dry. Then you are good to go!

Napa would be a good choice. I would opt for the best pads they have. OE pads areceramic and that is what you should replace them with. Aftermarket pads like EBC or Hawk would be another good choice. Just stay away from the cheap low cost pads.
