I currently have an H3 Alpha......Always liked the H2 better, but $$$ wise, it wasn't logical at this point. My next Hummer may be an H2. So I need to know the good, bad, and ugly about gas mileage. Currently with my Alpha, I'm getting approx. 17.1 mpg. Is the H2 anywhere near there? and does it depend on the package you get?

 

Currently I get 13.5 with a volant intake, unrestricted exhaust, andsuperchips. These are my figures but I do not have the original wheels

 

the package doesn't matter (unless it's mine, which is awesome - just ask impy's wife ). you'll get anywhere from 10 to ~14, depending on what you do (CAI, cat-back, tires, etc.). the nice part is that i get better mileage with 37" tires on an 03 H2 than Impy does on his H3 . . . . . [&o]

 

My ridehas a complete stock engine, and exhast....and the last time I looked I was gettin' around 11 mpg. But who's lookin'.

 

I thought the extra chrome on my wheels was going to make my mileage worse but it improved by 1-2 mpg

 

There have been a million threads about this, and this is repeating again.

Bottom line: If you have to ask about the gas mileage, this vehicle is not for you.

It just starts to get annoying when people start to ask about how much mpg an H2 when almost everyone knows that mpg is it weak point. If you do not want to spend on as than get something more efficient... i am planing on switching to E85
