I just changed out my 6.5TD (cracked block); labeled everything... except the fuel lines to the engine. They seemed obvious at the time. Now I can't tell what is the return and what is the delivery.

Does the fuel go from the water separator to injector pump or to the black tube?

the bigger fuel line coming from the fuel filter housing goes to a brass fitting that mounts to the compressor mounting bolt and from there it goes to the fuel injection pump, the smaller hose goes on the metal pipe which is the return line for the engine. the return hose attaches to the metal pipe were it comes out behind the A/C compressor.

 

I forgot about the compressor mount bolt.
