Front End Shakes
1 Attachment(s)
I put a over the hood brushguard on my truck and now the front end shimmies as I go down the interstate. All of the bolts and both hoodpins are tight and I had an alignment done when I put on the new shoes. Not sure if there is even anything else I can do. If anybody has any ideas, lemme know. Thanks!!!

Might check to see if one or more of your new tires has thrown a weight. Next I would check tie rods and ball joints. The brushguard shouldn't have any impact on ride quality. You might notice the brushguard shake a little more than the OEM one but of the ride is truly worse something else is going on.

All very good points. I'll definitely check those things out. Thanks!!

I have also bought brand new large tires that have been out of round. If the other items don't solve your issue I would have the tires checked for roundness.

Have you resolved your problem? I bought the same brush guard and have the same issue. Cant tell if its just alot more brush guard so I notice the shake more or what. I had no front end problems prior to the install?????

I would definitely check out the items 3hummers listed. Also, I know it would be a pain in the a$$, but you could take it back off and see if it drives normal again. If it does, then we need to come up with plan B. Keep us posted and I will do the same when I get back home. Good Luck!!! |
