Front End Lift Followup
Well, last week to took my 2007 H3 Adventure in and had a suspension shop try to level it up using torsion bar adjust only. In order for them to get the front within about a 1/4" of the rear they had to run the adjusting nut all the way up and then backed off about a 1/2 turn. Looks great but rides like a lumber wagon. My suspension guys tells me there's a new front end lift kit coming out in a couple of weeks for the H3 made by Ready Lift. Supposed the be comparible to the Truxx Kit but less expensive. Do you guys think the kit with the different keys and shock extensions will soften the ride a bit?

I just had mine leveled as well and love the new stance but hate the pot-hole/speed bump jounce. Other than that
issue, it feels just the same as before if not better. I just ordered some new shocks from Cognito Motorsports that
are made just for torsion bar lifted H3's. If they make it in and I can get them installed before I have to go back to
work on Wednesday I'll let you know how effective they are.The cost of the shocks is still less than the Ready Lift
and you wont have to do a second front end alignment. If you can wait a couple of days to see if theses new shocks
cure my rough ride, then perhaps you wont have to spend more money to re-do what you have already done.
BTW: I spoke to one of the guys at Ready Lift some time ago, and he said the kit would come in around $250.
Unlike the Truxxx kit ($400+) , these keys are forged instead of welded together and the shock extensions are top mount instead of bottom.
Tomatoes, tomatos, Potatoes, patatos............Whick kit is best.

If you were starting from scratch, would you go with the keys again or just the crank and shocks?
Also, how do you like the shocks and how big a difference did they make?

Careful on cranking the T-bars all the way up. I've heard some folks that did that and busted halfshafts from too much turn. Not not sureif the two are related but these people went through two halfshafts before dealer noticed the T-Bars cranked all the way up.
I havent hear any news on those leveling kits they sold on ebay or if they are any good or not. I'd be curious to see this new Ready Lift you are talking about. Website?

Mark, I don't think cranking the t-bars can have any worse effect on the half shafts than the re-indexed key's (like a truxx lift) The both keep the diff in it's original postion so the angles will be changed the same amount no matter what method is used to do it. Only difference between the two is cranking the t-bars puts more resistance into the t-bar and may make it settle quicker, than if left stock. Never-mind, I see now where you said cranking all the way....my bad
original poster--- I can't imagine why they would have had to crank your t-bars to the max.....this is putting your front end even higher than with the truxx lift...you sure they did it on a level ground? Your ride will blow with that much crank on the t-bars mainly cause you will be on the bumpstop and your shocks are probably close to maxxed out.

I put a level under the frame, its level front to backon level ground. The guy at the frame shop says he lifted both sides to the max backed off about a half turnthen lowered one side a bit more to level left to right. I looked under vehicle and it looks like the swing arms are about an inch from touching bumpers. Think I should back off torsion bars a turn or two?

Two turns will raise the front a bit, however, my ride still isn’t level but I’ve learned to deal with it.
