Front End Clunk - Service 4 Wheel Drive
I have a 2004 H2. It has never been ofroaded or anything like that. It only has 25,000 miles. It is like new with zero problems.... until now. A few days ago as I was backing up with the wheels turned I heard a clunking come from the front end. It happend again today when I was backing out of a parking space with the wheel turned and the Service 4 Wheel Drive message came on. Turned the truck off and the mnessage went away. Then a little later it made the noise going forward while turning. It has only happend with the wheel turned. Two times going in reverse and 1 time forward. I am sure something is wrong.
Any thoughts? Thanks guys. |
Bump... Anybody got any ideas or guesses? Point me in the right direction. I am kind of new to this and not very mechanical yet. Thanks guys.

Wow did I stump you guys or is this just a dumb question?

I would take it in and get the transfer case fluid drained and refilled, ask them to inspect the fluid for metal contamination and to also check the Ujoints, and wheel bearing hub assy. Keep us posted.

Thank you so much for the reply. I really apreciate it. I will take it down to my GM dealer tomorrow. I will let you guys know. I just wanted to be prepared and sound somewhat intelligent when he talks to me. |
