That is where I had mine mounted as well on the 07, worked great. My scanguage flipped out when plugged into the 09. No clue why but the T was not having it, every light and every error message possible came up when plugged in and the truck wouldn't start until I disconnected the battery cables and let it sit for a bit.

With the cost of the elm327 at under 5 bucks a chip in bulk why haven't any head unit manufacturers put this stuff into their nav radios yet.

There is a little bit of calibration to do the first two tanks but nothing difficult.

Default tnx tal,,

its funny,i always ask at a z if they have the sg2. no!.
so today i call az and again they say no .
so i order on line to pickup at the store in a few days.
39 seconds my email shows a confirmation,AND the item is ready for pickup!
i call back, sure enuf its there! the guy didnt know that they just started to carry it! and took the ONE they just put on display back in the office till i got there, and 30 minutes later i was fumbling thru the quik start guide and getting plugged in.
man i love gadgets. it looks pretty nice, so i (gasp) gassed up and started the process.

so your local auto zone may actually have one even if they dont know it!
