Fooling the nav to work when driving.
I have a 2008 H2 with the factory navigation radio. When the vehicle is moving you cant watch a movie on the front screen or add a destination to the nav. My Acadia had a box that fooled the radio into thinking the car was not moving when is was. I was interested in seeing if anyone knows if a module is available to fool the H2 radio. I want to be able to input a destination into the nav while moving or watch a movie in the passenger seat.

yea, I think your money would be better directed twards an aftermarket deck. That module is about $350-400 + installation. Those stock units dont have **** on the aftermarket nav decks that are out. Most of the aftermarket decks have way more options and usually a pretty simple way to override the in motion lockout. You also dont have to blow a nut when you want to update your maps w/ the aftermarket decks.
Here is one of those modules- 2007-2008 GM DVD & Nav In Motion Unlock and Video Input For 2007-2008 GMC Yukon - Denali - Sierra - Acadia - Cadillac Escalade - Chevrolet Suburban - Avalanche - Tahoe - Silverado - Buick Enclave - Hummer H2 Here are some nav decks- Car Selector you can probably pick any one of those up off ebay or craigslist new in box for 30% less than the prices there. You just gotta look, may take you a week or so. |
I found a box that is $199 and will unlock the bluetooth too. Does this mean i can use my phone on the car without having to pay onstar?
