Finally took some off-road pictures
 

I've been wanting to get some pictures taken of my H3, and put one or two in a large frame on my wall. So they're pretty much all just poser pics, oh well, I'm posting them cause I enjoy viewing others' h3 pics. Maybe someone will enjoy these :)

The location is about a 2(my very rough estimate) square mile area, just south west of Benton, AR on the Saline River underneath I-30.

During the afternoons the place is filled with rednecks and their 4x4s... I choose to go early in the mornings. The area is public access, and is all free roam because for a few months out of the year most of it's under water. There are a ton of spider webbed trails ranging in difficulty. Some cut for atv's, some for 4x4s with swamper tires, and some just right for my H3.

The only reason the area I outlined ends on the southern part where I drew it is because enough logs have washed up against the trees there to sort of create a dam. I'm actually not sure how far north it goes. The trails are narrow and on soft ground so I didn't try it.

If anyone is passing through the area it is definitely a fun spot to play around at.

And a picture next to the old river bridge, on the same river but further south east and on the south side of the river. This bridge was built in 1899 and abandoned in 1974. After not being maintained for decades, the deck is pretty much not there anymore. Access to the bridge has been cut off by digging out the on ramp, so now the land portion of the bridge is 15 feet in the air.

Where exactley do I turn off I-30 to get there? I come through there all the time, IN fact I'm coming up the 21st. to work most of the day but should have a few hours to spare on the way out. Can you give directions from the exit. I'll come play for a little bit...

It's the 1st of 4 Benton exits coming from the west, and the 4th of 4 coming from the east.

I had to get starting addresses from off the interstate, so of course just follow the directions from the interstate on.

Sweet pics... you got the itch yet? Time for some new tires and rock sliders... some ucp, oh and skid plates... dont forget a cb radio... and a winch would be really good too... time to start modding :)

yeah yeah, I had the itch before I got the H3! haha

still saving money right now, i almost depleted my savings to put a big down payment on this thing to keep my payments low

not sure what I want to get first though, I was thinking either tires or underbody protection. With better tires I'll be more likely to put myself in situations that need underbody protection... but protection isn't really an exciting mod to get...

My vote is always UCP 1st I've seen many a stock rig do ok with the bare bones ATs... I even wheeled for over a year w/ Nitto Terra Grapplers which are ATs too just in 35s for ground clearance... But I've also seen the carnage that rocks will run underneath... Not to mention GM UCP, rocker protection and Hunner Skids all together will run you under the price of 5 Mud Terrains (well the really good ones atleast)

So if funds are tight I would say get Hunner Skids 1st he has a batch coming up and than who knows how long for another set to come out... Than UCP... GM is the cheapest option... Than rocker protection... GM, Rocky Road, or Ridge Demon...

Isn't that the truth. Of all the videos i've taken of me wheeling, I took a pic of a penny in the treads; lets just say that nearly the entire penny was showing thru the treads lol

went to the rocky road's website for their sliders, competitive pricing for what appears to be a quality product. But who's rocker protector are they comparing themselves to in this pic?

also, are those steps that are meant for use along with rocker panel protectors(http://www.teakatoys.com/Hummer_H3_R...m-12498473.htm) compatible with the rocky road sliders? I'm thinking if I raise the front, and put larger tires on, it may be too difficult for my girlfriend to get in without assist steps.
