finally got new LT265 75 16 Revo 2 tires for my H3

I went to Discount Tire about 2 weeks ago ( just before the Bridgestone offer expired) and got a great deal on some LT Revo 2 tires (265 75 16). I orignially got a quote of $720 for a set of P265 75 16 Revo 2 tires then Discount Tire offered me $140 trade in value for my used Wranglers with 16,500 miles on them. (saved me the hassle of lugging them back home and selling them and storing them until they sold). That took the price down to $580...then taking off the $100 from Bridgestone's mail in....that took the out of pocket price down to $480. I though that was a great deal for the Dueler Revo 2 tires. Now is where it gets interesting....

I left the store telling the sales man that I would think about it and called the next day to say I would be in on Sat morning to have the tires put on (it is now Friday morning). The salesman said that a set would be there for me first thing on Sat. An hour later he called me back and said that he couldn't get a set of the P265 tires, BUT I could take the LT265 tires that were on display inside the store (they had been on display for a week according to him). I asked how much I was going to be inconvienced for this. Well...

The salesman said that they would run $880....then take $140 off for my trade-in and I was talking $740...then after the Bridgestone rebate i was going to pay $640. I told him that that was $160 hole in my pocket because he didn't have what he said he would have for me. No one else had the Revo 2s in stock and I would lose the rebate if I didn't get them Sat morning. The manager took another $100 off and I paid $640 cash, resulting in $540 after rebate.....I thought it was a great deal. I got LT tires for just a little more money per tire ($15 to me seemed to be fair) and got the tread pattern that I wanted. I was thinking about the Firestone Desitnation A/T tires, but these were cheaper after the rebate. Destination A/T tires (P265 75 16) were priced at Belle Tire and the Firestone Store at $600.

I really like the ride on the new tires. Inflated to 38-39psi and ride seems fine. I have notice that my vehicle tracks straighter now with just the tire change. I hope these Revo 2 tires perform better in the snow than the stock Wranglers RTS tires. Can anyone give me some words of encouragement or optimism on this??

Now I just need to find a HUMMER logo hard spare tire cover and I will be set for a while.

BTW -- Belle Tire and the Firestone Store would not take my old tires in trade...it suprised me that Discount Tire would take them. They took them even though 2 tires had been plugged.

Please pos pictures, as when it comes time for my tires I'm looking at the Revos as well.

I had a set of the original Revos on my GMC-Jimmy and loved them.

In my top post, it should say "I went to Discount Tire" instead of Belle Tire. Late night last night and I messed up my first sentence... Got to get more sleep!
