Default fender flares

Anyone else find that the rear fender flares on the 2007 H3 are crap. There are two tiny plastic screws built into the fender that are suppose to fasten it to the door. Mine broke on both sides. The auto body I went to said I have to replace the entire piece. About $900 for both installed and painted. Any better ideas? Would a double-sided adhesive be strong enough? Love the h3 but a bit pissed at its quality at the moment.

Self tapping screws or double sided tape is a possibility or ask Brodie (theBroken on here) if he has replacement pieces for you... $900 seems a little steep...

How in the heck did you break one let alone both sides?? Did it happen recently during a snow or ice storm? If so, I wouldn't try to open the rear doors if they are iced shut.

Anyway, look on Ebay, there is a guy (depending on the color) that has them for a good price. I would contact him and see if he has any for your color.

If your popped off that easy you may consider adding the 3m tape as well as the screws. 3m is pretty good stuff.

Other than those two screws there are some plastic/nylon clips way up in there. It has been said long needle nose will get to them. I tried the other day with about 10 inch needle nose and cannot reach the ones on the leading edge.
There must be some tool that will release the clips.
I don't see any flat surface on the fender to body that tape would fit on.
More research.
