Favorite snow tire on H2 and favorite traction setting
 

I have had my 05 H2 SUT for a week now, and took off the summer 20 in. fuel wheels to put on the stock 17 in. Hummer wheels. They have Toyo open countries on them with minimaln legal traction left. Was wanting to see what everybodies favorite snow tire they have used on their hummer is. I have used the Toyo open countries on other vehicles and liked them a lot, but as we all know the Hummer is "like nothing else". Also since this is my first Hummer was wondering also what others have found was their favorite traction setting for 25 mile road trips in 3 to 6 inches of snow.

No idea on the best snow tires as we do not get much snow here...... You should read the manual on the 4WD settings though. Ours is NOT the same as the GM trucks except a very few specific models like certain Escalades. The AWD transfer cases are operated different than the 4WD transfer cases that has the same button controls in the trucks. Ours are AWD so you already have a massive advantage in snow but depending on the conditions you might want to switch it to 4HI Lock and maybe engage the TC2 traction control.

On the trucks you can switch to 4HI or Auto 4WD at any speed. This is not the same on our H2's.... On our H2 you are already always in 4HI. To switch to 4HI Lock you must not be going any faster than 40 mph.
