The Factory gave me a call!
Has anyone had the factory call them? They called me and asked how I liked my H3. They also asked if I had any questions, comments, suggestions, ect. I made a couple of suggestions about where I think the window switches should go, and maybe create some cubby holes for sunglasses, pens, change, ect., and how about a front locker/ limited slip. I also asked about an odd experience I have with my transmission. It seems there is a thump that you can feel and hear as you go from coast to reapplying throttle, as done in moving rush hour traffic. The guy I talked to puts pieces on the vehicle as it rolls down the line, so he couldn't give me an answer right away. He said he had noticed this as well, so he put me on hold, asked an engineer, and came back and said that it was an inherant quirk in the transmission and they all do that. Not necissarily a flaw, just an odd trait. This reenforced what the service manager said when I took it in to have that looked at and he said they all do that. I suspect they called because my salesman gave me a follow up call about a month after I bought it and I told him about my suggestions.
Anyway, I just thought I'd share this and let you all know the factory takes interest in our enjoyment of our vehicles.

Should have told them to make the gas pedal and the brake pedal not so close next year so just about all H 3 owners dont hit them at the same time .Also did they forget about something thats been around for about 10 years CHILD SAFETY LOCKS FOR THE REAR DOORS.I bet someone totally drop the ball on that.
They did mention that some people have complained that the pedals are too close together. I dont have big feet so this isn't an issue for me. I don't have kids, so I haven't paid attention to wether it has safety locks or not. Now you have me curious though. I'll have to check later. If it doesn't, that would be a gross oversight on thier part.
I noticed the pedal problem too. It seems the carpet is not attached to the tunnel in any way. Maybe if you could shoot some kind of glue in there to glue the carpet to the tunnel, it would help with the pedal spacing. someone else please try this and let me know how it all came out.
