I just bought my second hummer H2, it’s a 2008 Luxury limited with coils in the rear. I am wanting a lift kit and want a 6” suspension lift.
I have researched the Bulletproof and the Fabtech and can’t decide… but I also like the look of the Kryptonite stuff(even though it’s only 2-3” lift)
I know there are lots of posts in the past about this but they are 5-7 years old and I’m hoping to get some long term results and opinions on these lifts and how they have held up over the years…
any feedback is welcome.
I have all kryptonite steering stuff on my h2 and a redhead steering box. Kryptonite Tie rods, center link, pitman arm, idler arm and bracket, and sway bar ends. It is without a doubt the TIGHTEST driving 2500 truck on the road even with 37s. Way tighter than my dads previous f250, 350 and new 450, tighter than his 392 jeep, its almost as tight as the raptor with rack and pinion. And with the lifetime warranty they offer, I wouldn't ever worry about replacing it. Kryptonite stuff has been on it for 7 years, been offroad, and still drives like day one with the exception of the pitman arm(shop didn't put it on and lied about it). If you actually pick up one of these parts and hold it compared to anything else like cognito, moog, or OEM, they are absolutely MASSIVE.
I haven't tried any of their other stuff, but I imagine they're fantastic. I do like the idea of the upper control arm with the bolt-in ball joint they offer too.
For me, the Fabtech lift at 6" is a little high, but I'll probably do it eventually just for the off-road capability. I just worry about raising the center of gravity on something this massive.
I know most people with the 6" go fabtech and have had no problems so that's what I would do. Also fabtech includes a new skid plate for the front. Bulletproof does not. Fabtech shocks are probably not great and I would replace them with Fox or Bilstein. Looks like Fabtech parts are made of 1/4 inch metal and are one piece but the bulletproof uses gussets in their parts. Not sure if it really matters, but the fabtech looks stronger.

I have a 04 hummer with a fabtech 6inch with 20 moto metals supporting 38.5 x 13. Best lifted ride I've had. I live in the Appalachians and I go were I want. This is my daily driver.
