Neat, how would you open the hood?

jasoncox05 07-25-2010 06:23 PM

i guess with some kind of latch or something...not sure...but i want one on my hummer and not sure who did that one...

That truck belonged to singer Macy Gray. It was a total custom job. the bumper is a road armor. But road armor quit building H2 stuff. If you are looking for an over the hood brush guard go with the Rubberduck4x4 treehugger for the h2.

ya not a big fan of that bumper from rubberduck it looks cheap...and kinda trashy...

Different strokes for different folks I guess...... I cant wait to see some pics of your rig....

jasoncox05 07-29-2010 07:41 AM

ya i will post some once i find someone to build one for me...ive contacted like 5 people that do roll cages down here and houston and nobody wants to touch a hummer...i was like wtf guys its a suv who cares if its a hummer or not...guess they wont want business or something...i mean it doesnt look that hard and if i had a pipe bender and knew how to weld i would do it myself...well i mean my buddy knows how to weld just dont have the bender...

word of seroius advice............ go have it repowdercoated..........everyone that i know who has one says they start rusting out within 6 mos....

thehitchmaster 08-08-2010 08:56 PM

funny you say that, they come pre- scratched in shipping. the "powder coating" if you can call it that is extremely thin and scratches extremely easy. kinda crappy for a extremely expensive bumper. Also half the hardware showed up. And guess what road armor acted like it was my problem. Did not want to help. I was highly upset.
