I have a 2006 H3 with 65k miles; I'm up here in New England, and noticed recently that on a cold start (first thing int he morning), I get a smell of exhaust under the hood. It's usuall y gone in less than a minute. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I don't see any sheared manifold bolts.

 

the question shud b, how many owners put their nose under the hood for a minute after starting. i just drive away so i have no idea what it smells like.
usually odors relate to wind direction

 

Next step would be to check the exhaust manifold for cracks.
