Error codes

Dear all,

Can you assist with what the following OBD codes are in my MY2006 H3:
(P) 2610
(P) 0455

I changed batteries recently, if this would have thrown these up?

Any system reset I should do to clear?

Many thanks,
Neptune

OK - after some google searching I discovered that the P0455 was probably there because my kids had played with my filler cap and the P2610 is due to the battery.

I found this:
"DTC P2610

• The control module illuminates the MIL on the second consecutive ignition cycle that the diagnostic runs and fails.

• The control module records the operating conditions at the time the diagnostic fails. The first time the diagnostic fails, the control module stores this information in the Failure Records. If the diagnostic reports a failure on the second consecutive ignition cycle, the control module records the operating conditions at the time of the failure. The control module writes the operating conditions to the Freeze Frame and updates the Failure Records.

Conditions for Clearing the MIL/DTC

DTC P0601, P0602, P0604, and P2610

• The control module turns OFF the MIL after 3 consecutive ignition cycles that the diagnostic runs and does not fail.

• A current DTC, Last Test Failed, clears when the diagnostic runs and passes.

• A history DTC clears after 40 consecutive warm-up cycles, if no failures are reported by this or any other emission related diagnostic.

• Clear the MIL and the DTC with a scan tool."

So do I need to start and stop the engine 40 times for this to clear?

Thanks,
Neptune

For all others I have now found this:

Very useful, but still after the fastest way to reset as all is functioning fine!

That is how it would naturally clear itself or you could clear it with the scan tool you got the codes from. An autoparts store can probaly clear them for you as well.

Unfortunately the codes were found during a vehicle check and I need to clear them to pass. I don't have access to a scanning tool, so was trying to find the easiest way to clear them.

Thanks
