Default engine swap

new member want's to know if any one has thought about an engine swap? have 06 h3 and considering sb. or bb. chev. seems the right choice over the little alm. engine. these cast irons are tried and proven. just now doing home work on power train improvments. i dont know where they came up whith this engine? cheap to make? seems like the industry is going backwards. will keep you posted on the progress on this swap. thanks t.j.

Yea, lets all void our warrentys and throw in a SB 350...thats smart!! While your at it, you better do lots and lots of research cause it WON'T be a simple engine swap. You will need to change so so so much more than just an engine.

nothing wrong with voiding a warranty if you can afford the repair bills, i say go for it. i think an old 283 or 327 would kick some serious *** in one of those. i took out my stock motor last weekend. i now use my neighbor's cats for propulsion, can't afford the $3.50 per gallon forgas.

if your looking for more power, install a turbo kit for 5k. save yourself some $ and major headaches of a swap. plus with v8 torque you will be breaking parts.

Go for it. It has been done but it is a HUGE custom project.
