Default Engine swap

Is it possible to swap out an I5 in an 06 h3, with a v8 or 6cly from an 08 or newer h3?

Cool

Back in 1976 I put a 350cu/in Chevy engine in a 1974 Vega hatchback. My friend had a garage with a lift and a small machine shop. With the right resources and money anything is possible.

My brother in law, back in the early 80s, stuffed a 283cid v8 into a Ford Pinto!

No H3 ever had a V6, and an I6 will NOT fit.

It would be economically feasible to sell the 06 and buy an 08 with a factory V8, otherwise, you have a nice dream there.

Anything is possible. A few companies are swapping in the 6.2l V8's from the H2's into the H3's

Sell that I5 H3 and buy a '08 Alpha, don't waste your cash.

Friend I know over at H4O stuck a 350 small block in his H3 after the I5 bit the dust. He also did a SAS front end conversion and a few other things.

It's a 5.3L, so it's a 326 or 327. 06H3 has done a lot of work to his rig. Took some trial and error but it seems to be wheeling very well now.
