Folks:

My new-to-me H3 with 41K miles in 2010 just turned 86K.

Other than the belt, several air filters and clockwork 5K oil changes, I have done nothing else to the motor.

It's beginning to idle rougher than I like/labor in overdrive @ 45MPG.

"standard 50K TB and MAF"

I've never done this ... suspect it's long past time.

Do I just pull out the airbox, run the motor and spray carb/choke cleaner down the throat like crazy? What is proper procedure, please?

Sorry Raffi, I'm going to be brutally honest with you right now.

If you think that someone can diagnose check engine light by your description above or that a squeaking belt can cause the check engine light to come on I'm not sure you are going to grasp a tutorial on MAF and TB cleaning or even be able to get the diagnostic code for the check engine light. There are plenty of threads on these EXACT subjects might want to do a SEARCH.

P.S. There is also a book inside your glove box that will have a "suggested maintance schedule" written in it.

no one was asking for a diagnosis, to get the code is also very easy, but I dont have the tool for it.
