Engine Loght comes on, No reaction when starting from standstill

Hello all. I just bought a used H2 2006 with only 13,000 mi's on it this week, and very proud of it. And of course on my 8th day of owning it, the check engine light came on and immediately I noticed a difference. At a stoplight, I took my foot of the brake and it did not start to creep forward on its own. I had to push the pedal down to when I know it normally would be reving at 3-4,000 rpm but it barely registered. This also happended when I turned onto my street (luckily happended a few vlocks from home).

So its parked up the street waiting for a tow to the dealer (again glad I bought a used H2 with warranty and roadside).

Anyone seen this before? I know my wife is thinking "I told ya so" but I wouldn't care anyways.

I had that happen to me in my 2005...the ignition switch went bad...it's a common thing. Everything is controlled by the switch, engine, transmission, etc. It's good not to drive it until it is fixed.....it will make your tranny manually shift and that can cause a bunch of problems....but only if it is the switch......hope they figure it out real soon for you.

Can anyone tell me where the ignition switch is located on the 2005 H2? I have a replacement but don't know where to start to look for it.

thanks!
